Upcoming Sunday services
Sepulveda Unitarian Universalist Society: go to home page
Sunday Services start at 10:30 a.m.

We have varied worship services that feature our minister, visiting ministers from our faith and other faith traditions, lay leaders, or speakers from the community. All of which provides a wide range of topics to encourage -- maybe even provoke -- our personal and spiritual growth.

Children and youth are encouraged to participate in our multi-generational worship services. Childcare is provided as an alternative for our younger children.

LETTERS HOME FROM CAMP

February 5

Speaker: Jason Cook

Worship Associate, Gloria Burr

By sharing real-life experiences working with youth, Jason Cook shares his thoughts on what it means to act on our principles when it comes to creating a community that includes everyone, regardless of age. How can we all practice the ministry of presence with each other? We are delighted that Jason's spouse Lawrence Ingalls will also gift us with his music this morning!

LOVE & JUSTICE

February 12

Lee Marie Sanchez, SUUS Minister

Worship Associate, Brent Coffee

Today we shall celebrate the culmination of 30 Days of Love, which began a month ago when we joyfully placed our Rainbow wind socks atop our SUUS sign! What have we done as individuals and as a community during this past month to meet this challenge to promote Love & Justice? Come and find out & sing with us, "Standing on the Side of Love!"

The Onionaires, our SUUS choir, will be singing this day.

STANDING ON THE SIDE OF LOVE: WHAT ARE WE CALLED TO DO?

February 19

Speaker, Lara Helfer

Worship Associate, Garry Klepser

Today's sermon is influenced by Lara's Jewish roots and commitment to Tikkun Olam, our responsibility to do what we can to heal the world. May we, as Unitarian Universalists, of individuals from various backgrounds and traditions, consider what we are called to do to create the beloved community of all souls.

Lara Helfer is a third (and final) year seminarian at Claremont School of Theology. She is also completing her second year of internship at the Universalist Unitarian Church of Riverside. She resides in Long Beach, CA with her partner.

BUDDHISM, THE MIDDLE WAY

February 26

Lee Marie Sanchez, SUUS Minister

Worship Associate, Valerie Thornton

On our second stop in a series to discover what is religion for us and others, our journey takes us to a tradition both ancient and very modern. As Unitarian Universalists we look to the wisdom from various world religions and cultures in order to better know ourselves. Join us as we seek to continue our "Living Tradition."

The Onionaires, our SUUS choir, will be singing this day.
