WHERE DID UU & I COME FROM?
September 5
Reverend Jonipher Kwong
Is there such a thing as a UU identity? What thread ties this "uncommon" denomination together? Where is our movement heading? Come explore our history, our current reality, and our vision for the future.
WATERS OF RENEWAL
September 12
We will consider the healing and transformative powers of water that connects each of us to all life on earth with story, song and our own ritual of the mingling of the waters. Please bring a small vial of water from a place that is meaningful to you.
The Onionaires will be back from their summer break and provide us with wonderful music led by our music director, Leigh Garner and pianist, Jill Redding.
THE HEARTBEAT OF JUSTICE
September 19
Reverend Jonipher Kwong
Several UU principles contain the word "justice." What does it mean to engage in social justice from a UU perspective? How can we as a congregation tie into the Unitarian Universalist Legislative Ministry's efforts to bring about a more just state in California and beyond?
ALL WORK AND NO PLAY
September 26
Reverend Jonipher Kwong
How important is it to take a break once in a while? In a culture that is highly driven and whose value lies in being busy, is it possible to "be still and know" for a change?
ASSOCIATION SUNDAY
October 3
Plan now to be in church on October 3rd, when we join with thousands of Unitarian Universalists across this nation celebrating our shared commitment on Association Sunday. In this service, we will strengthen the bonds of our common purpose and combine our resources to make Unitarian Universalism a stronger voice for liberal religious values in our country. We are truly better together.
