Welcome
Welcome to the Sepulveda Unitarian Universalist Society-also fondly referred to as The Onion. We are one of over a thousand UU congregations in the United States with many more throughout the world.
Our Congregation
This congregation began in the mid 20th century and settled in what was then called Sepulveda with the dedication of our beautiful Onion sanctuary in 1965. Many people have called this their church, or spiritual home, and community of friends during the ensuing decades. We welcome you to join us if you're seeking a liberal, spiritual community such as ours.
Our Principles
With no single creed but rather by the Principles in which we believe and covenant to uphold, we open our doors to seekers from all faiths or religions, atheists or agnostics, or those who simply want to know first hand what our UU congregation is all about.
Our Services
Our Minister, Rev. Jonipher Kwong, leads at least two services a month. Other services are led by lay people or others in our community and reflect on one of the UU Principles.
Religious Exploration for children is offered during church service. Childcare is available as well.
The Onionaires, our choir, performs twice a month during Sunday services and they welcome new members.
Join us!
We invite you to join us as we affirm each Sunday that we are a people of the open mind, loving hearts, and helping hands. Join us as we strive to make that our living legacy.
